Title: Starr/Cole and the baby

I don't know I'm torn. Don't get me wrong I LOVE SOLE. I love Larkko, but there was a point I was a Cole/Langston fan. But I'm loving the story with the baby, it's giving a really good storyline for Brandon and Kristen. I'm just torn.

Thoughts?

I think I'm on the Langston/Cole train myself. Actually, I just love anything Langston. lol.

But I'm still a fairly new watching to OLTL, so I still don't have all the history done.

I was never a Langston and Cole fan and never will. I like them as friends, but only friends. Especially since i adore the couples of Larkko and Sole very much! Plus Langston and Cole together would destroy the fab four, and i would HATE that. They make such an incredible group of friends.

I'm loving the Starr and Cole storyline, i think its a great and interesting storyline for them!

I love Sole, but this s/l is turning me off to Sole, and I once was completely in love with Sole. But this storyline is the worst thing on the show right now IMO. Both characters are acting like idiots and I wish they would just go back to the way they were.

I do like the storyline that Cole and Starr have right now, but it's getting a little redundent.

I totally agree that with Starr saying she wants to put the baby up for adoption. In fact I love what she said today - something along the lines of 'I don't want this baby to feel like it was a mistake, I want it to feel like its the miracle that two people had hoped for.' I'd totally love to see her give the baby to Marcie.

sadly this is the only SL on the show that kinda bores me.

all acting aside, cuz they r all awesome, the SL is just blah to me. i just want it over with already.

I feel bad saying this, but I don't watch this for one minute. The previews are enough to irritate me. The concept is there, but it's not playing out favorably for anyone, and it's just plain annoying to me.

I agree. it doesnt paint anyone in a good light. they all have their hearts in it, but its not making them look good. custody battles never do.

i feel for all involved and i wish it was turning out different.

so I haven't been paying a TON of attention to this, so hopefully someone can clear this up for me.

So cole signed over rights to the baby...and is pissed at Starr. But is this somehow a ploy, or was he really willing to give up rights?

pinky3l - August 1, 2008 08:12 PM (GMT)
he gave up his rights. nora got to him and i gues made him really think about what todd was doing. todd doesnt want whats best for that baby. starr and cole do. so for cole, the best thing to to was to give up his rights so starr could give the baby to marcie and away from todd.

he is pissed at starr for it having to come to this. but IMO, cole kinda made this happen by telling todd in the first place. poor boy was so messed up with feelings, he didnt know what else to do, but it wasnt exactly the smartest move. its todd!?

todd, by the way it making me almost like him in certian scenes with marty. but he is still lying as usual. i wish the writers would stop making him the bad guy always. he almost never has scenes anymore that make us really like him and root for him.

I feel bad saying it too, but it just plain annoys me.. and I don't find it intriguing or thought provoking or entertaining in any way.. lol. It's just annoying/boring  Like Richelle, I've always loved Sole before all of this, but this has pretty much turned them off for me. I just don't find myself caring for them anymore when they're onscreen .. which makes me really sad to say. But it's true :\

I think I am the minority here. I LOVE this, this has been my fave storyline of Starr/Cole since PNTM. I mean this is one of the BEST stories OLTL is having right now. The storyline is genius, the acting is phenomenal, and the heart, soul, and emotions are in it. Yes, Starr/Cole breaking up for the 500,000,000,0000 millionth time is redundant and stupid, but right now they HAVE something to break up about. Not because of Britney, or Todd, or hell because their parent's don't want them to be together, but this is something REAL, a baby is REAL.

This is why I love it, I've loved the fact that Cole has been in this with the baby, and boy has Brandon been making me cry. But this story is mature for someone like Kristen to play, and Brandon has been pulling out all of the stops.

We've seen this storyline on many different soaps, many different couples, but we haven't seen it with TEEN couples. We haven't seen it with the adoption part of it. Which is the only stupid part because I believe she will loose the baby. But I think it's genius that Starr wants to give her baby away to the person who stole her father's son. It shows heart, and that is one thing that I DO love.

I would love to see Starr/Cole keep the baby, only because the scene with Blair/Starr the other day and the baby kicking really got to me. I've always said I do go back and forth with Starr, but I do see a lot of wishy washy with her, but she's always been like that. But in that scene, she wants to be a mom, she wants to have her child. I mean that, right there, how many people who are pregnant on soaps right now have looked that happy to feel their baby kick? None. Because she's having the real emotions, and that's why I am LOVING this.

And that was long, sorry!

Lol I liked the story line because it is going to show us if Sole can make it through the decisions life throws at us. I also feel that Brandon has mastered is scenes. I am a Sole, Larkko, Langston/Cole fan lol. Sole and Larkko are my fave though.

Whatever comes out of Starr/Cole for this story, I do actually hope that Starr ends up having the baby and giving the baby to Marcie...cuz you know what that means? More soapy goodness a year from now when Starr and Cole get back together and see the baby and want it back. That's pure speculation on my part, but that's soapy goodness at its finest. And I think written well, that could be a great story to watch play out. How many parents end up regretting giving their child up for adoption? And in the case of Starr and Cole, they are in the rare situation in which they can see their child on a regular basis. And since it's soapland and all, it's in the realm of possibility that they would want to go after getting the child back. And I think it's an interesting situation and topic for discussion overall...socialy relevant.

That would be a good sl, but Im hoping that while she goes through the pregnancy she will decide to keep it.
