2008 is over and 2009 is just starting. It’s now time for the first annual General Hospital Best of 2008. Here we as a united General Hospital fan base to pick who we believe deserve the title Lead, Supporting and Younger Actor/Actress. Instead of letting the Emmy's tell us for us.

This year we have seen ups and down and surprising returns, some sad goodbyes and new faces. Some new romances and forbidden romances, some past lovers together to enemies hitting the sheets. Some friendships ending and new ones forming, from finding justices to not getting an even chance to.

This year we had more than a few memorable moments. From Emily and Nikolas's final goodbye to a Father and Mother saying goodbye to their son to a mothers return to a miracle no one even imaged.

Each Character finding something new within themselves. Each actor giving it their all for each day of work, each storyline giving a bit more each day. Each performance, writing and storyline ripping into everyone's emotions and really showing a new forum to the show.

Now we come together now. To award those we believe that deserve the title. To prove that even though they might not win an Emmy that their efforts counts more in our eyes then the Emmy judges.

Now we have the chance to show who we believe really showed in 2008 that the titled would be fitting.
